Layered Knowledge

Stacking proofs of progress so ideas don't shear off

A personal pattern for stacking small proofs of progress into bigger conceptual breakthroughs.

Knowledge feels less like a ladder and more like a set of intersecting terraces. Each layer needs anchor points in the layers below it, otherwise the whole thing shears off when shaken.

I keep testing the idea in different domains: building a homebrew CPU, relearning calculus with more geometric intuition, or chasing down conceptual holes by posing sharp questions.

Working rules:

  • Design micro proofs of competence I can quantify daily.
  • Keep an artifact trail: notebooks, diagrams, small demos.
  • Periodically reconcile abstractions so that jargon never floats without a grip.

This site is meant to be the visible scaffolding for those layers.
